Save Elizabeth Street Garden
Recently, my dear friend and talented actress, Gail Shalan, shared some heartbreaking news—Elizabeth Street Garden, a beloved sanctuary in Soho, might soon be demolished. The thought of losing this peaceful, green space deeply moved us, so we decided to do what we know best—capture its beauty before it’s too late.
We spent an evening photographing in the garden, hoping to showcase not only its majestic trees and beautiful sculptures, but also the sense of tranquility it offers to so many. It’s devastating to think that such a place could be reduced to rubble—its flowers ripped from the earth, its trees cut down, and its art bulldozed away.
Elizabeth Street Garden is more than just a green space; it’s a cultural and creative hub, a place for connection and reflection. We hope these photos remind everyone of its irreplaceable magic and inspire action to save this cherished gem before it’s too late.
