A Birthday Walk in Autumn Light

For her birthday, Aitalina’s family gave her something truly special—a documentary photo walk through Greenwich Village. I was honored to capture their morning together on the first day of autumn, with warm, magical light embracing us.

What made the day even more remarkable was the courage of Aitalina’s eldest daughter, Alina, who had recently undergone knee surgery. Despite feeling tired at times, Alina moved through the day with quiet strength, her bravery a testament to the love and support surrounding her.

Aitalina and her husband, Egor, guided their four children with such tenderness and patience. We spent hours together, walking, talking, and laughing—moments I felt privileged to document. These authentic, unhurried moments are why I love what I do.
